MILKING

Primrose and Daisy are milked every day to ensure that only the freshest milk is used in our ice cream production.

The public can watch our daily milking demonstration at 1.30pm.  The cows have to be milked every day so don’t worry, even if you are the only person on the farm you will still see a milking demonstration.

Our cows milk for around 6 months of the year.  They calve (give birth) *REMEMBER a cow, like any other mammal has to give birth before it will produce milk* in early March and are then milked until the day we close in September.  They then have the rest of the year to rest and recuperate.

Jersey milk is very rich and creamy and makes the very best ice cream available.
